The 2013-2014 Winter Weather Season has been one of the worst our drivers have ever seen; to them, I want to say Thank You! They battle the roads covered in snow, ice and sleet for hundreds of miles white-knuckling the wheel. They hammer-down and do their jobs. To my dispatchers, I want to say Thank You! Keeping calm, routing, re-routing, and re-routing again when weather pounds down on the roads can be exhausting. This winter has challenged as all but, to date, we have managed to avoid all major accidents and for that we Thank God above. As each storm passes we are grateful for our safety and pray for those not as lucky. We hold our breath as storms rage throughout the country knowing, eventually, we will all be affected. This weather is bound to hit our economy with late shipments, less product, and parents simply staying home from work to be with their families. This wild winter will continue to challenge us all well beyond the flowers bloom and snow melting. Good cheers and prayers to those truck drivers who are determined to bring your stores their products, to the city/state workers spending endless hours plowing and salting, and the emergency crews helping them all along the way. Be Safe and Thank You!
